Once in a while, we receive requests to travel to special places to photograph engagement sessions. It’s something that doesn’t happen too often, but when it does we try to take full advantage of the opportunity. We’ve been to San Francisco a few times and also New York City a few times and it’s always a blast. When I first met Leslie and Tim, they wanted to do something different for their session. I was excited because we are always up for the challenge! Their special place? Mammoth Lakes, CA.
When I heard “Mammoth Engagement Session,” I was pretty pumped! I really love to snowboard and Mammoth is one of my favorite places in the world. The mountain is one of the best in the country and I just love the feel of the mountain town. We’ve never had a chance to work there, so I was up for it. Leslie and Tim hosted us at their family condo and it was just so much fun. We had amazing weather and it was a nice challenge to go around in the snowy areas to find just the right spots. The snowfall has not been that great lately, but there are still really good spots to find snowy spots for their portraits.
We were able to take some photos in the Twin Lakes area, Mammoth Mountain Resort and The Village at Mammoth. All in all, it was a great day that we will always remember. Thanks so much to Leslie and Tim for hosting us and giving us the chance to photograph you both in a very special place. We can’t wait to do it again at your wedding!
